Italy and Türkiye decide to go together for Euro 2032

Italy and Turkey have decided to submit a joint bid to host Euro 2032. This has been confirmed by UEFA, which has received today a request from the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) to merge their individual bids into a joint bid to host UEFA EURO 2032.

In 2021, UEFA began a bidding process for the organization of two consecutive editions of its European Championship, those of 2028 and 2032. The Turkish Federation participated in the process for both editions, while the Italian Federation decided to submit its candidacy only for the 2032 edition. Likewise, five federations have submitted a joint bid to host the 2028 edition: England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

UEFA has explained in a statement that it will now work with the different federations to ensure that the documentation they will present for their joint bid meets the requirements of the tender. If the joint bid meets these requirements, it will be presented to the UEFA Executive Committee at the meeting scheduled for October 10, where appointments for 2028 and 2032 will be made. Decisions on venues and match schedules will be made at a later date.

Euro 2024: Germany

Euro 2028: two candidates (Turkey and the joint England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales).

Euro 2032: the joint candidacy of Italy and Türkiye.
