CoolPack is a Zaragoza-based brand specializing in backpacks and accessories that produces high quality products with innovative and functional designs and offers a wide range of backpacks. Their main product is school backpacks, but also backpacks for work, travel and everyday sports activities. We spoke to Pilar Vázquez and Tatiana Briones from the CoolPack marketing department.
E-Commerce News (EcN): When did the idea to create CoolPack come about?
Pilar Vázquez and Tatiana Briones (PyT): We saw a clear change in new trends and also in consumer purchasing habits, also a clear need for innovation in the school backpack market, this is where our idea came from.
Consumers are becoming more and more demanding and due to the large amount of information available to us, regular shopping is becoming more and more complex. That’s why we are committed to specializing in the world of school backpacks with unique designs suitable for every consumer. and at every school level.
EcN: How is the brand involved in e-commerce?
P&T: In recent years, technology has changed users’ consumption habits and met ever higher demands. Nowadays, online shopping channels have been significantly improved, making the purchasing process easier, not only in choosing the product but also in comparing it with others, in terms of price, quality, design and other more specific characteristics. We at Coolpack are strongly committed to these online channels and want to continue to satisfy the needs of our customers who want to easily purchase our products, especially if they live in small towns and do not have easy access to physical stores if their lifestyle means they do not have the time have to buy it in a physical store.
EcN: We know that you also sell through physical channels. We would like to know how these channels have developed..
P&T: Since its inception, CoolPack has always been committed to B2B sales, which refers to direct commercial transactions between companies. We started with traditional distribution, selling our products in specialty stores, and that is the basis of our business. For us, a fundamental factor is to build good relationships with our customers by anticipating their needs. Looking forward, we want to continue to build great relationships with great customers.
EcN: What are the features of your products?
P&T: At CoolPack we are specialists in backpacks, accessories, school supplies and travel items for all ages. If we have to highlight some of their characteristics, we would choose the design of each of our products and highlight that they are unique on the market due to the quality of the materials with which they are made and the optimal service provided to both consumers and specialized stores .
Each product has its own personality as they are our brand’s own designs. Our customers identify with each of them.
In addition, a school backpack must be adapted to daily use. The design of a backpack that a child under 4 years old who goes to daycare daily will use is not the same as that of a primary school child who already carries a significant amount of weight due to the number of books he or she must carry daily. . Our backpacks are adapted to all school levels and favor back protection according to the weight that children have to carry at each school level.
Our star products include school backpacks with wheels, which also promote the child’s health by not having to carry excessive weight on the back, and backpacks with EVA rubber backs, which make the backpack lighter.
We are also aware of the need to contribute our grain of sand to protecting the environment, which is why we decided to launch this year urban backpacks sustainablewith our RPET line, made from recycled plastics.
EcN: Differentiation is key in a world as competitive as today… How do you differentiate yourself from other brands?
P&T: CoolPack offers products that stand out through quality, unique designs and the materials used in manufacturing. We also stand out for the details in each of our items: organizational pockets, zippers and internal pockets give our items additional functionality. In addition, our very extensive product catalog is also a plus of our brand, with a wide range of different designs that satisfy the personal taste of every consumer.
EcN: Social Networks. How important are they for CoolPack?
P&T: Through social networks we can make the company’s values visible under the motto “Be active, Be fit, Be cool”, where we want to convey the importance of health care and physical activity from the smallest in the house to the youngest and little old. Through this we also want to make the brand known to possible potential customers, answer questions about the product, publicize our latest news and also promote our online sales channel.
We also work with influencers who help us make our products visible and reach a larger audience.
