Israeli ambassador to the DR urges the country to “get money from sargassum”

The Israeli ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Daniel Biran, affirmed that the country has the potential to make the most of the sargassum problem, transforming that seaweed into value chains for coastal communities and the entire country.

Daniel Biran Boyer, highlighted the collaboration that they provide to the country in the face of the sargassum problem and the interest of Israeli companies in investing in Dominican territory to combat this seaweed.

“Sargassum is not only an issue in the Dominican Republic, it is an issue for the entire Caribbean and what we really offered is to find solutions to recycle, to try to create green energy, there are also two or three Israeli companies ready to invest in the country, we also work with the Dominican government, with the tourism sector in the Dominican Republic, we work with the Punta Cana Group, we try to do things, but in my opinion, on this issue we have to unite throughout the Caribbean, surely there will be solutions or at least if sargassum arrives gazo, get money from that sargassum,” said Israeli ambassador Danny Biran, when interviewed by Moisés González, from the digital newspaper and program Despertar Nacional, which is broadcast every Saturday on Vega TV (Altice 52 and Claro 48), in the United States on Optimum’s TV Quisqueya 1027 and Dish Latino channel 812-5 for the US, Canada and Puerto Rico and on OEPM Televisión.

Taking stock of his management in the Dominican Republic, the Israeli ambassador reiterated that the Dominican nation is a gift from God.

Danny Biran highlighted the strength of bilateral relations in the two countries, which are not only diplomatic, commercial and cultural, but also have a historical character between both peoples.

“I want to tell you, you also have to understand and I am going to repeat it, as a country you have a gift from God. You have to take advantage of everything you have. Israeli companies from the private sector of Israel are interested in investing more than US$300 million dollars here in the country, in different sectors, this shows that it is a truly God-given place.”

The Israeli ambassador revealed that there will soon be direct flights from Israel to the Dominican Republic, indicating that a Dominican delegation will be visiting Israel to discuss this and other issues.

“At the beginning of August we are going to have a visit from here to Israel to talk and try to remove this issue. I am happy because every year there are more and more Israeli tourists. In Israel, it is not a secret that the economic situation is very good and the Israelis have money. I think that one of the countries where they have to spend that money is the Dominican Republic:
