Israel Pounds Gaza with Airstrikes, Death Toll Rises to 114 Amid Conflict Escalation

Israel’s airstrikes on Gaza have killed at least 114 people, with many more injured.

Airstrikes Continue for Second Day

The attacks, which started early Thursday, hit multiple areas across Gaza, with the city of Khan Younis in the south being particularly affected.
54 people were killed when their homes and temporary shelters were hit overnight.
Many of the dead are women and children.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) say they targeted Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters in southern Gaza.
The Gaza Civil Defense Office, run by Hamas, reports airstrikes also hit Jabalia in northern Gaza, including a clinic and a religious gathering in a refugee camp, killing at least 13 people.
The IDF has increased its airstrikes as it prepares for a possible ground operation to take control of Gaza.
This comes as US President Donald Trump is visiting the Middle East, and new talks between Hamas and Israel are underway to negotiate a ceasefire and release hostages.
On Wednesday, Israeli airstrikes killed 80 people, including 59 in Jabalia city and refugee camp.
Israel has ordered people to evacuate several areas in Gaza City, including hospitals, universities, and schools, which are being used as shelters for displaced people.
However, this has caused confusion among residents who are unsure where to go.
The BBC reported on the situation.
