Israel opens embassy just 8 minutes away from Iran

Israel opened an embassy in Turkmenistan, very close to the border with Iran.

According to international media reports, the Israeli Foreign Minister has inaugurated a new Israeli embassy in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

This embassy is located very close to the Iranian border. Even the suburbs of Ashgabat are close to the Iranian border.

Israel’s new embassy is 17 km away from Iran, which is said to be about 8 minutes away.

This is the first visit by an Israeli foreign minister in three decades to what is considered one of the world’s most closed countries.

In 1994, Israel appointed Shimon Peres as ambassador, but he worked in hotels and temporary offices.
