According to the information, Lal Mohammad reached his house by car on September 19, when unidentified assailants opened fire on him. Mohammad Tailor’s daughter jumped from the roof to save her father, but could not save her. The entire incident was caught on CCTV. It is clearly visible in the CCTV footage that Mohammad Tailor had returned home in his car. When he got out of the car and started moving towards the house, at the same time the assailants who were sitting in the house attacked him. Lal Mohammad hid behind the car to escape but the attackers continued to fire.

According to sources, at the behest of ISI, Lal Mohammad used to get Indian counterfeit notes from Pakistan and Bangladesh to Nepal and then supply them from Nepal to India. ISI’s agent Lal Mohammad was considered to be the biggest supplier of counterfeit notes in India.

Underworld don Dawood also had links with D-Gang

Apart from this, Lal Mohammad acted as a launch pad for ISI. Apart from dealing in counterfeit currency, Lal Mohammad also provided logistic support to ISI for its operations in India. According to the information, Lal Mohammed also had links with the D-Gang of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Lal Mohammed was known as a cloth merchant in Nepal. According to police records, Patuwa, a counterfeit currency trader, was shot dead on July 4, 2007 in Anamnagar, Kathmandu. The police had arrested Lal Mohammad on the charge of this murder. The court sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment.
