Ishan Kishan ignored Jay Shah’s warning, trouble will increase for Chahar and Iyer

India’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan’s problems are only going to get worse. Ishan Kishan has ignored the warning from the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Ishan Kishan didn’t even take part in Jharkhand’s last game in the Ranji Trophy. BCCI had directed the players who are not on national duty to play in the Ranji Trophy. Apart from Ishan Kishan, Deepak Chahar and Shreyas Iyer also did not follow the instructions of BCCI secretary Jai Shah.

Actually, this whole controversy started with Ishan Kishan. Ishan Kishan took a break from cricket during the South Africa tour last year, citing mental health issues. After that, Ishan Kishan was not given a place in the series against Afghanistan and England. When the team management was asked about Ishan Kishan’s unavailability, coach Rahul Dravid made it clear that Kishan needs to play domestic cricket to make a comeback. But Kishan stayed away from the Ranji Trophy and was not even picked in the last three matches of the Test series against England.

BCCI can take action

Given this entire controversy, BCCI has made it clear that Team India players cannot ignore the Ranji Trophy from now on. BCCI also warned players to take action if they do not take part in the Ranji Trophy. Despite this, Kishan did not come on the field in the last game. Deepak Chahar also didn’t play a single Ranji match this season. After leaving Team India, Shreyas Iyer was supposed to play for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy. But Iyer also kept his distance from the field. All these players are accused of giving importance to IPL instead of domestic cricket.
