Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz will be part of the undercard of Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford

The undercard of the fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford on July 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas has taken more shape with the inclusion of the Mexican boxer Isaac’Pitbull’ Cross (24-2-1, 17 KO’s).

The former WBA lightweight champion announced through his Instagram account that will fight against will fight against the American Giovanni cabrera (21-0.7 KO’s) in a scheduled 12-round bout at 135 pounds prior to the main event.

Since being defeated by Gervonta Davis in December 2021, the ‘Pitbull’ Cruz has spun two wins on the fast track. First, he knocked out Yuriorkis Gamboa on April 26, 2022 and then sent Eduardo Ramírez to the canvas in the Arena on September 4.

The native of Mexico City is classified as the third best lightweight by the WBC and the fifth by the IBF, the WBA and the WBO.

Cruz’s first fight in Las Vegas

Cruz has been a professional boxer since 2015 and has fought in various cities in the United States as of 2019. However, this will be the first time he gets in the ring in the ‘City of Sin’. His other visits to the American Union have been in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Uncasville, Houston, Los Angeles and Arlington.
