Isaac Nader took the top spot in the mile at the Oslo, Norway leg of the Diamond League. He set a new national record with a time of 3:48.25, edging out Australian Cameron Myers, who came in second with 3:48.87, and Dutch athlete Stefan Nillessen, who finished with 3:49.02.
In the triple jump, Pedro Pichardo secured the second spot. His best attempt was 17.06 meters, a 3-centimeter improvement on his season-best mark. Jamaica’s Jordan Scott took the win with a jump of 17.34 meters.
More Records Shattered
In the 1500 meters, José Carlos Pinto came in second with a new personal record of 3:35.10. He was beaten by Denmark’s Kristian Hansen, who finished with a time of 3:34.84.
The Diamond League is heading to Stockholm next, where Liliana Cá will compete in the discus throw and Salomé Afonso will run the 3000 meters. These athletes will look to make their mark on the track.
