Is payments giant Visa secretly collaborating with Ripple?

Noted crypto influencer 24HRSCRYPTO has claimed that global payments giant Visa is secretly working with Ripple. Mind you, this is just a rumor.

Multiple partnerships

Yesterday (Feb 6), the influencer shared a video on Twitter showing that Visa has been working with at least 4 Ripple partners in recent years, whether through a partnership or full acquisition. According to the influencer, this is a good sign for Ripple and its XRP token, and he even expects the price of XRP to rise above $100 if the information is true.

The Ripple partners he points out are Earthport, Dee Money, CurrencyCloud, and Novatti. Visa acquired Earthport and CurrencyCloud. On the other hand, it entered into partnerships with Dee Money and Novatti.

The partnerships certainly do not immediately mean that Visa is working with Ripple

While there are partnerships, it’s wise to take the influencer’s claims with a grain of salt. After extensive research, it appears that the companies that have been fully acquired by Visa are no longer on Ripple’s customer page. As it turns out, these partnerships and acquisitions are primarily aimed at expanding the reach of Visa’s cross-border payment solutions, with no mention of Ripple or XRP.

While it’s hard to say Visa is working with Ripple, the partnerships show that Ripple’s partners are very important in the financial world. This is because they constantly partner with traditional financial giants such as Visa.

At the moment, XRP is trading at USD 0.3961. It is up 16.5% since the start of the year following a rebound in crypto markets after a dismal 2022. Many expect the token’s price to rise in the event of a favorable ruling in the pending SEC lawsuit, which now awaits Judge Analisa Torres’ decision.
