Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt was to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Baiju Bawra. She recently announced her pregnancy and doubts were raised as to whether she would be replaced by her. But according to a production employee, her pregnancy does not impede the shooting schedule for this film.
“Alia was very impressed with Baiju Bawra’s script, which she heard while filming Gangubai Kathiawadi. Deepika would have liked to play the lead role in Baiju Bawra. But after missing out on Gangubai Kathiawadi after three straight epics with Sanjay Bhansali, Alia now appears to be the filmmaker’s all-time favourite,” said the production staffer.
Ranbir Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan are rumored to be playing the lead male roles.
