Babil Khan termed this action by Poonam Pandey, a story poster on his Instagram, as nonsense. He wrote: “I don’t know what nonsense was about Poonam Pandey’s death but it seems wrong.” I try not to care but this really makes me angry. Awareness can be spread, but fake obituaries are not something we as a society can trust.

Babil further wrote, “Brother, to make a long story short, this is the worst way to raise cancer awareness and my intuition is full of anger.” Please don’t do this with cancer awareness. We tell you that Babil Khan’s father Irfan Khan also had cancer and died due to some cancer-related problems.

Before Babil Khan, actress Shefali Shah had also expressed her sadness over this action of Poonam Pandey. She had told that her father was also suffering from cancer and she was scared when she heard the news of Poonam Pandey’s death. She had written: “I am very sad and hurt at how some people can use cancer for fame. I don’t know Poonam Pandey at all, but the fake drama of her death due to cervical cancer had a deep impact on me.” I was very scared for my father.
