Irfan Pathan Returns to Commentary for India-England Test Series

Irfan Pathan is making a comeback in the India vs England Test series. The former cricketer was banned from IPL 2025. He had retired from cricket in 2020 and started working as a commentator. However, he was accused of promoting personal biases during commentary.

Pathan launched his YouTube channel, where he remains active. He’s now part of the commentary panel for the India-England Test series. The Hindi commentary panel also includes Ashish Nehra, Saba Karim, Vivek Razdan, RP Singh, and Ajay Jadeja.

This series will be memorable for Team India, with Shubman Gill leading the team for the first time. The English commentary panel features Sunil Gavaskar, Michael Vaughan, Harsha Bhogle, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Nasser Hussain. The five-match Test series starts on June 20 and ends on July 31. It marks the beginning of the World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle for both teams.

Irfan Pathan’s Career

Pathan’s swing bowling helped India win several historic matches. He played 120 ODIs, scoring 1,544 runs and taking 173 wickets. In 29 Test matches, he claimed 100 wickets and scored 1,105 runs. Pathan also represented India in 24 T20 matches, taking 28 wickets.
