Iran seizes escaping oil tanker in Gulf of Oman

According to state media, Iran’s military said it seized a Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman after it collided with an Iranian boat.

As a result of the collision of the oil tanker with the Iranian boat, several crew members were injured while many are missing.

The statement of the army said that "A Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker was seized by the Iranian Navy in the Persian Gulf after it collided with an Iranian boat in the Gulf of Oman and attempted to escape.

"Two crew members of the boat are missing and many have been injured due to collision with the boat.”

Earlier, the US Navy said that Iranian forces seized a tanker in international waters in the Gulf of Oman.
