IPL: Rajasthan Royals have a chance to make history, if they beat RCB, the final will be played after 14 years

The second qualifying match of IPL 2022 will be played today between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Ahmedabad Stadium. This match will start at 7:30 p.m. Both teams’ eyes will be on winning this match and getting into the final.

Where the team that wins this match will face the winner of Qualifier 1 in the final, Gujarat Titans will end the losing team’s journey. If Rajasthan Royals win this match, they will play the final match after 14 years.

Rajasthan Royals played the last game in the Indian Premier League 14 years ago. Actually, in IPL 2008, Rajasthan played the title match against Chennai Super Kings. In this match, Rajasthan won on the last ball. The IPL itself started in 2008 and in the first season, Rajasthan reached the finals and won the title.

In the IPL 2008 final match, Chennai Super Kings went 163 for 5 from 20 overs after playing first. For Chennai, Parthiv Patel scored 38, Suresh Raina 43 and MS Dhoni scored an undefeated 29. In response, Rajasthan lost three wickets for 43 runs in the seventh. However, thanks to Yusuf Pathan’s brilliant 56-run innings, the Rajasthan Royals team became champions.
