IPL Final: Tribute Ceremony Before Match Featuring Shankar Mahadevan

The stage is set for a thrilling finale in the Indian Premier League season 18, with Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings clashing at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Before the action unfolds, a tribute ceremony, themed around Operation Sindoor, will pay homage to the bravery of the Indian armed forces. This ceremony replaces the traditional closing ceremony.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, led by Rajat Patidar, and Punjab Kings, under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, are both chasing their maiden IPL title. The two teams have shown remarkable strength, with Punjab Kings recently defeating Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 2 at the same ground. Royal Challengers Bangalore, however, have the psychological edge, having beaten Punjab Kings in the Qualifier 1.

The tribute ceremony, scheduled to start at 6 pm, will feature renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan, who will perform songs to honor the Indian soldiers and pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack. He will be joined on stage by his sons, Shivam and Siddharth Mahadevan. This ceremony will last for about an hour, after which the two captains will take the field for the toss at 7 pm, followed by the start of the final match at 7:30 pm.

The IPL closing ceremony and the final match will be broadcast live on the Star Sports network, with live streaming available on the JioHotstar app and website. The event promises to be an emotionally charged and action-packed evening, with the best of cricket and entertainment on display.
