Initially, the final was scheduled to be held at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. However, due to India-Pakistan tensions, the IPL 2025 was suspended for a week. The tournament resumed 10 days later, leading to a change in the final venue to Ahmedabad.
Closing Ceremony Details
The closing ceremony will start at 6 pm at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The opening ceremony had featured performances by Varun Dhawan, Karan Aujla, and Shreya Ghoshal.
Tribute to the Indian Army
The closing ceremony will be special, with renowned Indian composer Shankar Mahadevan paying tribute to the Indian Army. His performance will honor the soldiers and those who lost their lives in the attack. Shankar Mahadevan’s sons, Siddharth and Shivam, are also expected to perform. Mahadevan is known for songs like “Breathless” and “Maa Tujhe Salaam”.
The closing ceremony will begin at 6 pm, followed by the final match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings at 7:30 pm. This will be the first time the two teams face each other in an IPL final match.
