IPL 2025 to Resume on May 16, BCCI Prepares 3 Schedules, Gujarat Titans Start Practice

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to resume after a temporary halt due to tensions between India and Pakistan. Now that the situation has normalized, the focus is back on completing the remaining matches of the tournament.

Remaining Matches and Schedule

The IPL 2025 has already seen 58 matches, with 12 league matches and four playoff matches, including the final, still to be played. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to announce the schedule for the remaining matches on Monday night or Tuesday. If the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals is replayed, there will be 13 additional league matches.

Some top foreign players, including Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Dewald Brevis, and Phil Salt, may not be available for the remaining matches. These players have reportedly informed their teams about their unavailability.

Team Preparations

Gujarat Titans has resumed practice at the Ahmedabad stadium, with their foreign players joining in. The team’s players arrived at the stadium on Sunday evening and began their training sessions.

The remaining IPL 2025 matches are expected to start on May 16.
