IPL 2025 Final to Honor Indian Army Without Chiefs

The Indian Premier League 2025 final is set for June 3. Before that, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is planning a special event for the closing ceremony. India’s three army chiefs were invited to this program. However, reports say they won’t attend the IPL closing ceremony.

The BCCI wants to honor the Indian army during the ceremony. Initially, the program included performances by the bands of the three armies and the BSF. But that’s not happening now. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh won’t be there either.

Even without the army chiefs, the Indian army will still be honored. Singer Shankar Mahadevan might perform at the ceremony, singing patriotic songs. The event will also remember the bravery of the Indian army’s Operation Sindoor. This operation was a response to a terrorist attack in Kashmir that killed 26 innocent people. The Indian army’s attack killed several terrorists.

The first team to make it to the IPL 2025 final is Royal Challengers Bangalore. Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians will play the qualifier-2 on June 1. The winner will be the second team in the final. The IPL 2025 final match will be played at the stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3.
