IPL 2022: Good news for Mumbai Indians fans, this dangerous fast pitcher associated with the team

Frustrated with the performance of their fast bowlers, the Mumbai Indians have included veteran Dhawal Kulkarni in the squad and if he performs well in the training session, he may be considered for the remaining Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. According to IPL sources, the 33-year-old left-arm fast bowler has joined the team’s ‘biological bubble’ and will start training soon.

Kulkarni was part of the official broadcaster’s commentary team before being called up to the five-time champion team. Mumbai fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has dropped 229 runs in eight matches and has taken just five wickets. Other fast bowlers are also struggling this season. Left-arm pacemakers Jaydev Unadkat (six wickets for 190 runs in five matches) and Daniel Sams (6 wickets for 209 runs in five matches) have also performed moderately.

Fast bowlers Tymal Mills (six wickets for 190 runs in five matches) and Basil Thampi (five wickets for 152 runs in five matches) have not done well either. Riley Meredith was used in two games but gave up 65 runs and took only three wickets.

Kulkarni, a regular for the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team, also has experience playing in the IPL. After making his IPL debut in 2008, he played 90 matches in which he took 86 wickets. Kulkarni has mainly played for Rajasthan Royals. He also played some matches for the Mumbai Indians and the Gujarat Lions. The Mumbai Indians are already out of the play-off race after losing eight straight.
