Get ready for the new iPhones. Apple plans to release four high-end models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. They’re coming out in September 2025.
Leaks about these phones’ specs are everywhere. Digital Chat Station, a Chinese tech insider, just posted some interesting info on Weibo. Apparently, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, which use the Apple A19 Pro chip, were tested with Geekbench 6.
Here’s how they did:
- Single-Core: 4,000 points
- Multi-Core: 10,000 points
These scores are 15% and 17% better than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which uses the Apple A18 Pro chip. That phone got 3,490 points for Single-Core and 8,606 points for Multi-Core.

The Apple A19 Pro chip is made with TSMC’s N3P 3-nanometer process. It’ll compete with other top chips like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9500.
Earlier reports said all four iPhone 17 models will have 120 Hz refresh rate screens. That’s an upgrade from the iPhone 16, which only had 60 Hz screens on the standard and Plus models. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will have special LTPO OLED screens that can adjust their refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz.
