This year, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 Air, touted as the thinnest smartphone to date. Rumors have been circulating that it will surpass the iPhone 6’s 6.9 mm thickness, but new information has surfaced, offering a glimpse into its design. According to the latest update from Ice Universe, the iPhone 17 Air will boast an impressive 5.5 mm thickness and a 6.9-inch screen, mirroring the iPhone 17 Pro Max in terms of device size, screen border, and design. Ice Universe also shared a video render of the iPhone 17 Air, which has been making rounds online.
You can check out the video render here. Analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo and Jeff Pu have previously predicted that the iPhone 17 Air would have a thickness of around 6 mm, with Kuo also suggesting a 6.6-inch screen size. Meanwhile, iDeviceHelp has shared a video in collaboration with Majin Bu, showcasing a mockup of the standard, Pro Max, and Air models, allegedly based on Apple’s internal documents. One notable feature is the extremely thin bezel, reminiscent of the 13-inch iPad Pro M4, which has a thickness of just 5.1 mm, making it the thinnest Apple device to date, according to rumors.

We’ll have to wait until September, when Apple typically launches new iPhone models, to confirm whether these leaked details match the actual device. Until then, the suspense remains.
