iPhone 15 Pro Max: what will not change

Most of the rumors about the iPhone 15 Pro Max refer to the news that the smartphone will bring with it.

But keep in mind that there are some specifications that will remain. Do you know what traits the iPhone 15 Pro Max will inherit from its predecessor?

Much has already been said about the next generation of Apple’s smartphone, especially its most advanced model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Rumors always refer to the news that the terminal will present to the brand’s loyal followers.

But not everything will be news. Some specifications will carry over from the iPhone 14 Pro Max to its successor. One of these will be the main sensor for the rear camera module.

Apparently, Apple will keep the same 48-megapixel sensor. It seems that the Sony IMX903 sensor, with the same resolution, but with a larger size to let in more light, will only appear in the most advanced model of the iPhone 16.

In any case, it seems that the long-awaited periscope sensor will be integrated into the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which, according to rumors, will be the only one to have this novelty. Which means the iPhone 15 Pro should keep the same camera setup as the previous model. Perhaps with the addition of new software to set it apart from the base models in the series.

The fact that the 48-megapixel sensor of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max is not updated raises another question. Will the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus keep the same camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor?

This is a relevant point if we take into account that Samsung’s direct rivals, the Galaxy S23 and S23+, have a 50-megapixel main sensor. Will Apple make any changes, also in terms of software, to get closer to the flagships of the South Korean giant?

The display panel does not change either.

Another point that Apple will not touch is the display panel. The iPhone 15 Pro Max will continue to adopt the M12 OLED technology present in the previous model. The only change is that, according to some rumors, the panel could be thinner.

The size also looks like it won’t change, staying at 6.7 inches. By the way, today’s news exactly shows that this change will only be made in the 16th generation of the iPhone, in which the most advanced model will be able to be equipped with a 6.9-inch display.

But we have to end with one more positive point for Apple fans. What will effectively change is the processor. The iPhone 15 Pro Max risks being one of the first terminals available on the market with a 3nm chip, the A17 Bionic.

As such, the model is expected to make a nice leap in both performance and battery management.
