IOS 16 brings this new feature long desired by Apple users

At the beginning of the WWDC 2022 conference, Apple presented the next versions of its operating systems. One of the highlights was the introduction of iOS 16 with many new features included.

Now that the first test version begins to reach the developers, little news is being discovered. The most recent was noticed by MacRumors and it gives an account of a small novelty that will be very useful.

iOS 16 now lets you see the password of the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to

With iOS 16, users will finally be able to see the password of the Wi-Fi network they’re connected to. This option will be very useful especially when you want to share that credential with friends or family.

To do this, go to Settings and select the Wi-Fi option. There you will find a new option called “Password” where the information that allows authentication in that Wi-Fi network will be displayed.

iOS 16 Wi-Fi Password

For security reasons, the user must be authenticated before being able to view the information. This authentication can be done through Face ID, Touch ID or a password.

The novelty was designed for those who want to make life easier by sharing their Wi-Fi network password with friends or family. Especially with those who have an Android or Windows device.

With iOS 16, you will not only be able to view your Wi-Fi network password, but also copy it. In this way, it will be much easier and more comfortable to share this information with visitors.

Please note that sharing Wi-Fi passwords was already possible between Apple devices. Therefore, the novelty that will come with the implementation of iOS 16 will be useful in sharing this information with other platforms.

iOS 16 is still in the testing phase and its final version should only be released in September. The specific date of this launch will be announced when the iPhone 14 is presented.
