With iOS 16.2 it will be possible to disable wallpapers in screen always on
For years, iPhone users have wanted an always-on display feature on their smartphone. This wish was fulfilled with the launch of the iPhone 14 Pro, but Apple’s approach did not please everyone.
Contrary to what happens in the Android market, Apple’s approach is solely to reduce the brightness of the screen. That is, the user-defined wallpaper does not disappear and this makes many think that they have received a new notification.
If you’re one of those longing to be able to disable this behavior, your prayer will be answered with the release of iOS 16.2. This version of the operating system introduces new options for the screen always on🇧🇷

As you can see in the image, we have two new options: show wallpaper and show notifications. Yes, with this update you will also be able to disable the appearance of notifications on the always-on screen of your iPhone 14 Pro.
However, the latter option seems to be a bit contradictory to the widely established concept of the advantages of having a screen always on🇧🇷 This function is for us to see important information at a glance, that is, our notifications.
iPad Pro Stage Manager takes better advantage of external monitors
The next update to Apple’s operating system will also bring great news to iPad Pro users. A novelty that concerns the Stage Manager and its behavior when connected to an external monitor.
With iPadOS 16.2 it will be possible to take full advantage of the potential of any external monitor. That is, the content will no longer be simply mirrored and users will be able to use all the available space on the screen.

This means that the black bars that appear on the sides of the featured content will disappear. It should be noted that this is a novelty only available on iPad Pro models with M1 or M2 processors.
As for the availability of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2, that should happen sometime in December. For now, only participants of the respective beta programs can enjoy these new features.
