New Game Modes in the Works for Next Year’s Football Simulator
EA Sports, the creators of the popular football simulator, have been working on introducing new modalities to the game. Leakers have shared information about ‘Penta’, a new feature in Ultimate Team.
Penta: The New Ultimate Team Mode in FC 25
Although the VOLTA game mode in FC 24’s predecessor, EA FC 24, did not resonate with the most dedicated players, it will return in FC 25. Penta is a new game mode that will be played five against five. Players can choose to play online with four other players and the goalkeeper controlled by AI, or offline with one player controlling one player and the rest organized by the CPU.
Gameplay and Objectives in Penta
According to FUTPoliceLeaks, Penta will be played with official kits on a grass field. Players can only use a chosen player from their Club in Penta. Objectives and requirements, such as a maximum average of 75 or 85 speed for the players, can also be implemented.
The Future of Squad Battles
With the arrival of Penta, many fans have questioned the future of Squad Battles, the ‘single player’ mode of Ultimate Team. The answer is that Squad Battles will continue to exist within the game mode. Penta appears to give a new format to followers without replacing anything. The final details of the mode and its impact on Squad Battles will be revealed when FC 25 is released.
The Future of FC 25
EA Sports has already shown new features for next year’s game, and they look promising. The introduction of Penta is an effort to revamp the Ultimate Team experience and provide something new for fans. However, before the new game releases, fans may see a few new games announced for next year, and they will need to get their act together before then.
