Intratable Gajser

Tim Gajser dominated the two sleeves of the MXGP of Italy in Maggiora, added two victories, with which he has accumulated seven consecutive sleeves, and signed an impeccable double, third so far this year. Jeremy Seewer and Maxime Renaux finished both races behind the Slovenian. Rubén Fernández finished sixth and fifth each of one of the heats to be fifth overall. With these results, and the loss of Jorge Prado, absent due to injury, Gajser is more leader of the general, with 336 points, 81 ahead of Renaux, 105 over Seewer and 116 over Lugo’s GasGasfourth in the World Cup

In the first sleeve the ‘Holeshot’ went to Calvin Vlaanderen, leader until he made a mistake and was overtaken by Renaux and shortly after by Gajser. The Slovenian launched several attacks on the leader and when he succeeded he went solo to victory. Behind, the Yamaha man gave up one more place, this time against the Swiss Seewer, to finish third.

The second ‘holeshot’ of the day went to the British BenWatson, and in this episode less calm showed the bearer of the red badge. He was aggressive on Seewer as Jonass stole the Briton’s wallet. Gajser’s aggressiveness continued with an outside attack on the Latvian to take the lead and set up the double. Jonnas lost the podium after a mistake that cost him two positions, inherited by Seewer and Renaux, after the latter got rid of Watson, to trace the podium of the first race.
