Internal Taxes collects more than 220 million pesos during the first quarter of 2022

Impuestos Internos recauda más de 220 millones de pesos durante primer cuatrimestre de 2022

The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) reported this Sunday that the collection corresponding to the month of April 2022 amounted to RD$68,195.2 million for a compliance of 114.4 percent in relation to what is estimated for this period.

This level of compliance is equivalent to RD$8,591.3 million above what is estimated in the General State Budget for the year 2022.

First quarter of the year

The DGII accumulated a collection in the months of January-April of this 2022 amounting to RD$220,226.5 million, a reflection of the country’s economic recovery process.

Among the main taxes that contributed to this monthly collection are the Corporate Income Tax, ITBIS and selective tax on fuels.

During the first four months of the year, a growth of 10 percent was registered, equivalent to RD$20,063 million more than in the same period of 2021.

In addition, the accumulated compliance in the months of January – April of this 2022 is equal to 106.5 percent with RD$13,429.2 million higher than estimated.
