The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) clarified this Saturday that the events indicated through a statement from the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) on “alleged administrative corruption, dual functions, abuse of power, bribery and tax crime” they are not in any way related to the current administration, headed by Luis Valdez Veras.
In a statement, the DGII reiterated the commitment that have the general director of Internal Taxes, Luis Valdez Veras with transparency and its vision of being an open door administration.
The entity made it clear that They are in the disposition to collaborate in what is required, both with the National Directorate of Government Ethics (DIGEIG) and with the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to take this and any other case to the last consequences.
It added that as a result of the allegations about alleged actions committed by an employee of this General Directorate of Internal Taxes, it makes known to all public opinion and citizens that, any public servant who has been accused of alleged acts contrary to the law is suspended so that they can respond to the corresponding authorities regarding the questioning of their behavior within the public function.
