A product of San Lorenzo’s youth system, Giay has quickly developed into a key first-team player. At just 19 years of age, the young full-back has made an impressive 40 appearances in all competitions this season, establishing himself as a valuable asset to his club and the Argentina U20 team, where he has 13 international appearances and one goal to his name.

Inter are aware of Giay’s potential and have taken the first step to secure his services. According to reports from TNT Sports via FcInterNews, the Italian club has contacted San Lorenzo to discuss the terms of the transfer. Giay’s contract contains a release clause of €14 million, but there is speculation that San Lorenzo could accept a lower offer of around $8 million (around €7.3 million).

Although Inter see Giay as a possible successor to Juan Cuadrado on the right wing, San Lorenzo’s sporting director has hinted that talks will be postponed until December, at which point the Argentine club will elect a new board. Giay’s future appears increasingly uncertain, but his skill and youth make him a sought-after asset on the market, with Inter Milan leading the way to secure his services.
