Italian football Inter Milan have mutually decided to terminate the contract with Danish footballer Kristian Eriksson. The club confirmed this by tweeting on Friday.

In an official statement, Inter said that the club and the entire Nerzurri family wish Ericsson the best of luck for his future. Although Inter and Christian are now parting ways, this bond will never be broken. The club further wrote that their goals, victories, scudato celebrations with fans outside of San Siro (the celebration after winning the trophy) would remain in Nerazzurri history forever. The club also wrote that sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and takes you down a path you never imagined.

Ericsson, 29, suffered cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at this year’s Euro Cup. After this, a heart starter device was installed inside it. Ericsson can return to the soccer field after treatment, but according to the rules, he can no longer play for any club in Italy. We tell you that Ericsson joined Inter from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020 and has signed a contract with the club until 2024.
