Inter Milan made an important new addition to their squad. The Italian club announced on Friday that they have signed French midfielder Andy Diouf. Lens, where Diouf played for the past two seasons, also confirmed the transfer. This move brings a promising young talent to one of Europe’s top leagues.
Neither club officially shared the money involved in the deal. However, reports from the Italian media suggest a significant investment by the Nerazzurri. They reportedly paid around 20 million euros for Diouf, with another 5 million euros in potential bonuses. Diouf, a French U21 international, has committed his future to the club with a contract stretching all the way to 2030. This long-term commitment shows how much Inter, last season’s Italian vice-champions, believes in his potential.
Diouf is just 21 years old, but he has already built a solid career. During his time with Lens, he featured in 68 matches and scored two goals. He joined Lens for the 2023/24 season, arriving from Rennes. Before that, Rennes had loaned him out to Swiss club Basel for the previous season. His journey through different clubs has clearly prepared him for this big step to Inter Milan.
