Inter Milan forgets Zapata and goes with everything for Wout Weghorst

As reported by the journalist specialized in transfers Gianluca Di Marzio on his website, the Inter de Milan is targeting Wout weghorst to reinforce their lead for the next season of the Italian Serie A and the UEFA Champions League, where they hope to transcend after eliminations in the group stage in recent editions.

Simone Inzaghi’s project has not started in the best way in Milan due to the departures of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku, two of the three best players on the team last season in which they won Serie A. But, a couple of years ago days, Inter Milan have closed the stellar additions of Denzel Dumfries to replace the Moroccan and Edin Dzeko to replace the Belgian up front, although the Italian coach intends to continue adding talent to his squad.

A new striker for the rotation

The names of Duván Zapata from Atalanta de Bergamo, Joaquín Correa from Lazio and Luka Jovic from Real Madrid to arrive in this summer transfer market, but now the name of Wout Weghorst has been added to the list of names and everything seems indicate that it is the easiest piece to incorporate.

The Dutch striker is coming off a great season in Germany with 25 goals and nine assists in 41 games played, which helped him to be part of his country’s team in the European Championship. He is a talent who, despite his age (29 years old), has the conditions to make the leap to a more important team than Wolfsburg.

Weghorst’s contract ends in 2023, so its asking price is much lower than the other names on Inzaghi’s list of options.
