“Inespre Está de Madre” arrives in the South region with special prices and products

More than 15 thousand people attended the first fair in San Pedro de Macorís, it will be extended to other regions of the country

The Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) held its Great Producers Fair “Inespre Esta de Madre” in the South Region of the country, in front of the Sports Center of Azua, on Friday May 13 and Saturday May 14, from 9 a.m. the morning while supplies last.

Hundreds of residents of the area gathered early and took advantage of the great offers that Inespre had such as egg cartons at 90 pesos, chickens at 150 pesos, hens at 100 pesos, bananas at one and two pesos; potatoes at 10 pesos a pound; rice at 20 a pound; as well as a wide variety of good, beautiful and cheap products.

The opening of this Great Fair was headed by the director of Inespre, Iván Hernández Guzmán; the governor of Azua, Ángela Pérez Díaz; the mayor of the province, Ruddy González; Senator Lía Díaz Santana; Deputy Carlos Ramírez Filpo; Deputy Brenda Ogando Campos; the person in charge of Land Titling, Duarte Méndez; Héctor Pérez, from Café Ideal and Héctor Darío Ramírez from Eco Petróleo.

Participating on behalf of Inespre were Alexis Marte (Otto), provisional manager; Mardi Feliz, market coordinator for the South Region; Edgar García, director of the Eastern Region; Richard Mercedes, Director of Marketing; Teresa Mota, Director of Programs; the deputy directors Lino Fulgencio, Eudy Collado; as well as other special guests. The act was blessed by the priest Duván López.

Iván Hernández Guzmán, urged all Dominican mothers and especially those in the South Region of the country to take advantage of the great variety and quantity of products offered by the institution with the aim of pleasing Dominican mothers by provision of President Luis Abinader.

“More than 5 million Dominicans have benefited from Inespre’s sales of low-cost products in almost two years of management, precisely today we are opening a fixed producers’ market in the province of Nagua with which we cover the 32 provinces of the country. Currently we carry out 72 farmers’ markets every week, 30 on Wednesdays and 42 on Saturdays, more than 95 mobile warehouses and our Inespre Buy at the Supermarket Price program through which we have impacted more than 300 thousand families and continue to grow ” said the official.

Ángela Pérez, governor of Azua, pointed out that Inespre has always been an ally of the most vulnerable people in the country, since it facilitates access to low-cost food through its institutional programs, with this type of fairs and above all in the fixed market that takes place every Saturday in its premises in the area in which thousands of azuanos benefit.

While Alexis Marte (Otto), provisional manager, expressed satisfaction that the province he directs had been chosen for this great mothers’ fair and highlighted the intention of the director of Inespre and the President of the Republic to expand the institutional programs in the area, so that an increasing number of Azuanos can eat well and cheaply.

Subsequently, Senator Lía Díaz Santana, the mayor of the province, Ruddy González; Congressman Carlos Ramírez Filpo and other officials supported the initiative and indicated that this is part of the great initiatives of the government of change to guarantee food security in the country.

In addition to low-cost food sales, attendees had access to special offers, tastings, artistic activities, raffles and animations. The organization of these events has the support of the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministry of Agriculture, provincial governments, municipalities, private companies and other entities.

Other Fairs

The program “Inespre Is in the Mother with its Great Producers Fairs” will continue on Friday May 20 and Saturday May 21 in the parking lot of the Cibao Gran Arena Stadium for the entire Northern Region and will culminate on Friday May 27, Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29. May at the old Herrera Airport, on Luperón Avenue for residents of Greater Santo Domingo.
