Industrial outlook remains favorable and rises to 61.6 points

The Monthly Index of Manufacturing Activity (IMAM) of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD) rose last November in relation to October 2021, going from 58.9 to 61.6, showing increase in the variables of Sales Volume, Employment and Commodity Inventory. All the variables remained above the threshold of 50.0.

This Index is a portrait of the manufacturing activity of a month in relation to the previous one, indicates the AIRD, entity that specifies that when the IMAM is located below the threshold of 50 points it reflects that the economic conditions and perspectives of the manufacturing sector are considered unfavorable. Above 50.0, the outlook is favorable

Sectors
The sample was made at 500 selected companies according to its economic importance, sector and geography.

The five variables that are used for the creation of the IMAN and with which the balance of opinion is established are: the volume of sales, the production volume, employment behavior, delivery time the suppliers take, and the behavior of the inventories of inputs and raw materials of one month in relation to the other. .
