The second Test between India and South Africa in Cape Town has been historic so far. Both teams were completely eliminated on the first match day. In the second and first innings of the match, the Indian team lost the last 6 wickets in 11 balls without scoring a run. During India's innings, a total of seven batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account. The Indian team managed 153 runs in their first innings.

The Indian team had lost just 4 wickets for 153 runs, but in the next 11 balls a total of 6 Indian batsmen were out and no runs were scored at all in this period. Team India had scored 153 runs for 4 wickets in 33 overs and during this time Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were present at the batting circle. African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi, who bowled the 34th over of the innings, got KL Rahul out on the first ball of the over.

Thereafter, on the third ball, Rabada bowled a point to Prasidh Krishna and on the fourth ball, Mohammed Siraj, who was on the non-striker's side, was dismissed. On the next, fifth ball of the over, Rabada ended the innings by dismissing Prasidh Krishna.

For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were eliminated without opening an account. Mukesh Kumar, on the other hand, remained unbeaten as the 11th batsman without opening the account.

Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Nandre Berger took three wickets each for South Africa. Apart from that, Africa managed a wicket by a run-out.
