India’s Big Hitters Missing in Action Who’s Next

The Indian cricket team is set to face England in a series of One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 (T20) matches before heading to the ICC Champions Trophy. The squad for the England series is expected to be announced by January 12. Following this series, the team will depart for the Champions Trophy.

Speculations on Team Selection

There are speculations that the Indian team may not feature several big names in the T20 series against England. Notable players like Jasprit Bumrah may be excluded from both the ODI and T20 series. Additionally, Mohammad Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill might be rested, although they are likely to return for the Champions Trophy.

Possible Team Composition and Leadership

Suryakumar Yadav is a potential candidate to lead the Indian team against England. The return of Akshar Patel and Hardik Pandya is also possible. Other players who may be included in the team are Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh, Varun Chakraborty, Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Yash Dayal, and Harshit Rana.

The Indian team will play a series of 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches against England, starting from January 22. The T20 series matches will be held in Kolkata, Chennai, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai, while the ODI series will take place in Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad.
