India’s team of 15 is set for the 2023 ODI World Cup, which will be held in the country from October 5th. India’s national teams have reportedly finalized their 15-man roster for the upcoming ODI World Cup. Three players have been dropped from the 18-man squad selected for the Asian Cup.
Three players from the 18-man squad for the Asian Cup have not found a place in the World Cup squad. According to the report, middle-order batsman Tilak Verma, famed fast bowler Krishna and wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson were not selected for the World Cup.
BCCI medical team have declared wicket-keeper-batsman KL Rahul fully fit. He will soon join Team India in Sri Lanka. This also paves the way for his participation in the World Cup.
Seven batsmen were named to the 15-man squad for the World Cup. These include Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul and Ishaan Kishan. At the same time, three all-rounders, one main spinner and four fast bowlers got a place in the team. These include Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. Speaking of fast bowlers, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Mohammad Shami and Jaspreet Bumrah have been included.
