Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Surpasses Steam Sales on PS5 in Launch Week

Rhys Elliott, a market analyst at Alinea Analyst, has some surprising news about the sales of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The game is selling faster on PlayStation 5 than on Steam. In fact, it’s outselling Steam by about 28%.

In just six days, the PlayStation 5 version sold over 114,000 copies. Meanwhile, the Steam version sold around 79,000 copies in the same time frame. So, what’s behind this difference? Elliott says it’s because the game is available on Game Pass from day one. Many Xbox users are playing it through Game Pass, so they don’t need to buy it. He estimates that around 5 million people are playing the game on Xbox.

Breaking Down the Numbers

Elliott thinks the Steam version will eventually sell around 310,000 copies. But since the PlayStation 5 version is growing faster than PC and Xbox sales, he believes it will catch up and possibly surpass them. The game is available now on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.

The numbers are based on data from Alinea Analyst. You can find more information on their blog. The original report also came from Eurogamer.
