Indian Women’s Team Reaches Sri Lanka for T20 Asia Cup 2024
The Indian women’s cricket team has arrived in Sri Lanka ahead of the T20 Asia Cup 2024, which is scheduled to take place in Dambulla from July 19.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Shreyanka Patil, and Jemima Rodriguez were spotted arriving at the airport. Sri Lanka Cricket shared the photos of the Indian and Bangladesh teams’ arrival on social media.
Indian Women’s Team Included in Group-A
All eight teams have been divided into two groups of four each. The Indian women’s team is part of Group A, which includes Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, and Nepal. Group B includes teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand. The tournament will feature 15 matches, including two semi-finals and a final on July 28.
Important Tournament Considering the T20 World Cup
India will play its first match against Pakistan on July 19, followed by matches against the UAE on July 21 and Nepal on July 23. The Indian women’s team is the defending champion, having won the tournament a record seven times. The team’s performance in this tournament is significant, as it will give the Indian team an important review of its preparations ahead of the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in October.
