A car bomb blast in a central district of Delhi on Monday evening has shaken the nation. The incident near the iconic Red Fort has prompted widespread condolences from India’s entertainment industry.
The explosion occurred around 7 PM local time, affecting a Hyundai i20 car. It took place near the Red Fort Metro Station, between gates 1 and 4.
Authorities report ten fatalities and several injuries. The blast has heightened security concerns in the capital.
Actor Sidharth Malhotra was among the first to express his grief. He shared a message of support on his Instagram story.
Malhotra wrote, “My condolences to all those affected by the Red Fort blast. Delhi, stay strong and stay safe.”
Rajkummar Rao also conveyed profound sadness. He posted about the tragedy on his Instagram story.
The actor included a broken heart emoji in a separate story, emphasizing his sorrow.
Filmmaker Karan Johar offered his condolences to the victims. He stressed the importance of safety and vigilance.
Johar stated on his story, “My deepest condolences to those who lost their lives and were affected by the Delhi incident. Stay safe and exercise caution during such times.”
