Indian football legend Sunil Chhetri was spotted playing on the cricket pitch

Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri visited the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore on Sunday. During this, he participated in field sessions with the North East and Plate teams. Chhetri shared his experience and his journey in football with the players. The BCCI has shared Chhetri’s video from its official Twitter account.

BCCI tweeted: “The NCA neighbor, Indian football captain and legend Sunil Chhetri was here on Sunday night. He had a nice fielding contest and shared lessons from his amazing journey in football with players from the teams of North East and Plate”. This video shared by BCCI is receiving a lot of love from fans. He is fiercely appreciative of Chhetri’s physical form.

One user wrote: ‘The pride of Indian football, an amazing sight with our legendary cricketer captain. Another social media user tweeted: Great! Only fit footballers can play football and cricket, however not all cricketers can play football until they are fit.”

Chhetri and former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli are considered good friends. The couple also participated in an Instagram Live interaction in 2021, where they discussed their childhood in New Delhi. Chhetri has represented India in 125 matches. He is India’s top scorer with 80 goals. Chhetri is ranked third in the list of active goalscorers in international football. He is only behind Cristiano Ronaldo (115) and Lionel Messi (81).
