A newlywed couple’s dream honeymoon turned into a nightmare when the groom was found dead. Now, his bride is under arrest for his murder.
The bride, Sonam Raghuvanshi, 25, and her husband, Raghav, 30, had been married for just two weeks when they embarked on their honeymoon to the northeastern state of Meghalaya. But four days into their trip, they vanished. A massive search operation was launched, and a week later, Raghav’s body was found in a valley with his throat slit. His wallet, gold chain, and ring were missing.
At first, Sonam’s family thought she might have been kidnapped or killed too. They even launched a campaign to find her, criticizing the Meghalaya police for not doing enough to investigate and search for her. But in a shocking twist, Sonam turned herself in to the police, and they accused her of hiring a hitman to kill her husband. Four other men have also been arrested in connection with the murder.
The police say Sonam is the main suspect, but her father, Devi Singh, claims she is innocent and that the police are framing her. Raghav’s family, however, is not so sure. His brother, Vipin, says he doesn’t believe Sonam was involved in the murder until she confesses. But he did reveal that one of the arrested men worked in Sonam’s office.
As the investigation continues, more details are emerging about the couple’s relationship. They had planned their wedding for four months, and their families thought they were happy together. But now, it seems that their dream honeymoon was just a cover for a more sinister plot.
The case has sparked outrage and raised questions about the safety of tourists in Meghalaya. The police are still trying to determine the motive behind the murder, but one thing is clear: this is a case that will haunt the families and community for a long time.
