Indian Batsman Matches Yuvraj’s Feat with Record Breaking T20I Half Century

The record for the fastest half-century in T20I cricket has been a topic of discussion for years. Yuvraj Singh held this record for a long time, achieving the fastest half-century in T20I against England in just 12 balls. However, this record was broken by Nepal’s Deependra Singh Airi last year, who achieved the feat in just 9 balls. Although Yuvraj Singh’s record has been broken, his name is still synonymous with the fastest half-century. Recently, India’s powerful batsman Richa Ghosh achieved a similar feat in the third T20I against West Indies.

Richa Ghosh scored a half-century against West Indies in just 18 balls, equalling the world record for the fastest half-century in women’s T20 international cricket. This record was previously held by New Zealand’s Sophie Devine and Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield, who also achieved the feat in 18 balls. Richa Ghosh has now become the joint holder of the record for the fastest T20 International half-century in women’s cricket.
