India vs Zimbabwe Series: Ramesh Powar Named as Bowling Coach Ahead of Vital T20I Matchups

Zimbabwe Appoints African Legend as Bowling Coach

In a major move ahead of the upcoming series against India, Zimbabwe has appointed former South African fast bowler Charl Langeveldt as its new bowling coach. This appointment comes after the team failed to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024, with Langeveldt being handed the responsibility by the Mishi inquiry committee.

Coaching Experience

Langeveldt’s recent stint was with Afghanistan until the end of last year’s ODI World Cup in India. He has also been part of the coaching set-ups of Bangladesh and South Africa. His experience in handling bowling teams is expected to be a valuable asset for Zimbabwe.

Career Highlights

Charl Langeveldt played cricket in all three formats for the South Africa cricket team, taking 16 wickets in 6 Tests, 73 wickets in 72 ODIs, and 4 wickets in 9 T20I matches. His playing career spanned several years, and his expertise in the bowling department is expected to benefit Zimbabwe.
