India vs Pakistan: More Than Just Cricket in 2025

IND vs PAK: Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the upcoming matches between India and Pakistan. The Champions Trophy, scheduled for next year, has generated significant excitement among fans. Although Pakistan is hosting the tournament, it will be played on a hybrid model, with the Indian team competing at neutral venues. However, this will not be the only opportunity for the two teams to face each other, as they are also set to clash in other tournaments, including the Asia Cup 2025.

A Highly Anticipated Clash Between India and Pakistan

India will host the Men’s Asia Cup in 2025, which will be played in the T20 format. The 17th edition of the Men’s Asia Cup cricket tournament is expected to take place in October on Indian soil. Although the schedule has not been announced, India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group. It remains to be seen whether the Pakistan team will travel to India to participate in the tournament or if the match will be played at a neutral venue.

This tournament will serve as a crucial preparation for teams qualifying for the 2026 T20 World Cup. As the defending champion, the Indian team will host the tournament. India has won the most Asia Cup titles, with a total of eight victories. Sri Lanka follows closely, having won the title six times.

Six Teams to Participate in the Tournament

A total of six teams will participate in the Asia Cup 2025. In addition to the five full member nations of the Asian Cricket Council – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka – the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will also participate in the tournament. The UAE secured its spot in the Asia Cup after winning the 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup.
