During a religious ceremony in India, the floor of the temple suddenly collapsed and many pilgrims fell into the well, resulting in the death of 35 people.
According to a Bharat media report, the incident took place on Thursday at the Shri Baleshwar Mahadev Temple in Indore, Madhya Pradesh state, where the temple was built on top of a well that sank due to its heavy weight.
The report stated that 35 people have been killed in this incident, 14 people have been rescued while the search for one person is going on.

On the other hand, Prime Minister-in-charge Narendra Modi expressed grief over the accident and said that the local administration is completing the rescue and relief work quickly and he has announced an aid amount of Rs 25 lakh for the victims.
Accidents during religious events in India have happened before, and on January 23 this year, four people were killed and five injured when a crane fell on pilgrims during a ceremony at the Drupathi temple in the state of Tamil Nadu.
