India, pro-Khalistan, leader of Waris Punjab De, Amrit Pal Singh arrested

The police of Indian Punjab has claimed that Amrit Pal Singh, the supporter of the independent state of ‘Khalistan’ for Sikhs and the head of ‘Waras Punjab De’ has been arrested.

According to Indian media, on Sunday morning, the police tweeted that Amrit Pal Singh has been arrested from Moga, Punjab. Citizens are requested to maintain peace and harmony. Don’t share any fake news but verify first.

It should be noted that secret agencies in India have been busy trying to arrest Amrit Pal Singh since March 18. Amrit Pal Singh’s name appeared in the news for the first time when men armed with swords, knives and guns attacked the police station. The purpose of which was to rescue an associate of the Sikh leader who was arrested by the police.

Inspector General of Police Sukhchen Chinggill said that the police had put so much pressure on Amritpal Singh that they were left with no other option but to arrest him. Amrit Pal Singh surrendered to the police at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday at Rode village near Moga city.

He also confirmed that Amrit Pal Singh was present in a Gurdwara but the police respected the place of worship and did not enter. After his arrest, Amrit Pal Singh has been sent to Assam’s Dibrugarh Jail.

It should be noted that 30-year-old Amrit Pal Singh is a supporter of an independent state of ‘Khalistan’ for Sikhs and is the head of a group called ‘Waras Punjab De’. The group named ‘Waras Punjab De’ was formed by Indian Punjab actor and politician Deep Sidhu some time before his death.
