New Delhi: Rain-soaked roads in India have become a source of entertainment for citizens, with locals catching fish from flooded roads.

According to the Indian media, the heavy rains in Kolkata not only disrupted the life system, but also some interesting scenes were seen on this occasion.

A viral video on social media shows locals fishing on submerged roads.

Locals say they saw some fish floating in the water, after which they brought nets from their homes and started hunting. They caught 15kg of fish from the flooded roads.

According to officials, the rains have flooded nearby streams and ponds, and the fish have flown into the streets.

It may be recalled that the rains in Calcutta this month have broken a 14-year record.

Due to continuous rains, many areas have been inundated, roads are looking like ponds and the circular railway operation has also been stopped.
