India: Mysterious fever begins to spread, 50 children die, find out the symptoms

Lucknow: More than 50 children have died due to mysterious fever spreading in different parts of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

According to Indian media reports, more than 50 children have died in Ferozabad area alone due to the mysterious fever that has spread in different parts of Uttar Pradesh.

In Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, the situation has deteriorated to such an extent that citizens are migrating from their homes to other areas. According to the report, 11 children died in Mathura during the last fortnight and two this morning.

Mathura health department officials told ANI that 13 people, including 11 children, have died so far.

An ANI correspondent spoke to locals in Mathura, who told them that several citizens had left their homes and moved to other cities.

The Mathura district administration and the health department have launched an investigation into the disease, which involved water samples and medical tests of the dead.

Medical experts have described the mysterious fever as a disease similar to dengue and malaria, according to which the fever is sudden, which increases to such an extent that the respiratory system is affected and then suffocation.

According to Indian media reports, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ferozeabad, during which he met a girl named Komal and instructed the doctors to take all possible steps.

Komal was being shifted to Aligarh Hospital after she fell ill and died on the way.

The report said that the disease was now wreaking havoc in Ferozeabad and was spreading rapidly in other areas including Agra, Kanpur, Mathura, Mainpuri, Eta and Kasganj.

Symptoms

Medical experts in India have reported symptoms based on reported cases so far, including high fever, itchy hands and feet, severe joint pain, headache, nausea and dehydration.

The disease has so far affected only children, but two recent deaths have been in 18-year-olds.
